Glo & Ray are a new discovery for me. They’re a British brand that has been around for a few years now slowing growing a steady following. Although I’d read some rave reviews online this is the first time I’ve tried the products and I can see why everyone else loves them.
The name Glo & Ray draws inspiration from the natural wonder of light, so ‘Glo’ as in a luminous glow and ‘Ray’ as in a ray of light. The products are aimed at harnessing a woman’s natural radiance and having tried these products they certainly do give you a great glow. So let me share with you all what I’ve been trying this week:
Mariposa Quartet Eyeshadow in Aegean Blue £12.50
If you like to wear colour on your lids then this might be the palette for you! Glo & Ray have an incredible colour range with their eyeshadow quads and this one – Aegean Blue – is just gorgeous. There’s a silver highlighting shade, a pale blue with shimmer, a lovely teal and then a gorgeous navy with a purple sheen to it. I love the packaging of these, they’re great value for money seeing as you get four complimentary colours and a mirror included for just £12.50. Find it HERE
Mirage Mousse Eye Shadow in Caramel Candy £11
Despite what the name might suggest instead of being mousse like in texture, this eyeshadow is actually more of a cream consistency. But the colour payoff is amazing. Caramel Candy is a lovely bronze colour that you can really build up on the lids. Rather surprisingly it also has pretty impressive stay power on my lids. As someone with oily lids I’m used to most eyeshadows disappearing after 6 hours on my lids but this stayed on throughout the whole day – I’m very impressed! Find it HERE
SkyBreaker Lasting Silky Eyeliner in Forest Green £5.50
Green eyes are such a big trend at the moment and as someone with hazel eyes I’ve been looking for wearable green eye shades to bring out the natural green in my eyes for a while now. And this is perfect for that. The liner is super soft and creamy which means it effortlessly glides across your lids. It’s also incredibly pigmented which means it’s long lasting, won’t budge throughout the day but does take a pretty strong makeup remover to remove all traces of this from your face. Find it HERE
Nuage Solo Blush in Halo Pink £11
This is probably one of my favourite blushes to use at the moment. It’s a gorgeous peachy pink colour with an iridescent finish. The colour really does work to lift the face and create a healthy glow. Plus the texture is so smooth and velvety and it’s buildable on the cheeks. If you’re a fan of NARS Orgasm then this is a great dupe. Find it HERE
Wonderland Hydrating Lip Gloss in Pumpkin Night £10
I really love this lipgloss. It’s a lovely peachy pink colour with gold and iridescent flecks throughout ensuring that it really shines on the lips. The formula contains a dewy shine oil system which helps to make the lips look smoother and fuller – which is just what I want! Plus although it’s hydrating on the lips it’s not at all sticky – perfect! Find it HERE
La Amo Creamy Shimmer Lip Colour in Marigold £12
Let me start by saying that although shimmer is in the name, thankfully this lipstick is not a shimmer lipstick. I was expecting a glittery, frosted lipstick and I’m so pleased that this is so much better than what I was expecting. The finish is sheer but the formula is so creamy and comfortable to wear. It has a lovely high pigmented finish that’s also hydrating. Unlike other cheaper lipsticks I’ve tried, there’s no dragging or dryness when you apply this and your lips are left with a gorgeous pigmented colour and sheen. And this colour is ideal for those looking for a striking red-orange statement lip. Find it HERE
These Glo & Ray products really remind me of Mac. I’m not sure if it’s the sleek black packaging, bold colours or great quality but whatever it is, I’m hooked and can’t wait to try more of their products.
