Givenchy Extravagancia Fall-Winter 2014 Palette Review, Swatches

Oh my gosh! This palette is sooooo beautiful and I feel like these brand new shades were just made for me! There’s are 2 stunning metallics – a gunmetal silver and a shimmering burnished gold, plus a rich stunning satiny brown and iridescent purple. I think all these shades will work well with my hazel eyes.

There’s also a pretty sheer lipstick that gives the lips a juicy flush of velvet luminous colour. And of course the packaging is amazing!

Nicolas Degennes, Creative Director for Givenchy, was inspired by mother-of-pearl when he was creating the Givenchy Extravagancia Fall-Winter 2014 Palette whose ‘whose myriad facets never fail to incite wonder’. I don’t overly connect with the inspiration, but I certainly do connect with the colours.

I think that brown is incredible and of course so are the metallics and the purple. I cannot wait to have a proper play with this palette. I will probably use one of my more nude shades of Givenchy Ombre Couture cream shadow as a base.

I should point out that Givenchy’s lip palette formula is really good. I adore my Over Rose Lip & Cheek palette and the textures are creamy, comfortable and really easy to wear.

It’s a lovely soft blush pink that will suit everyone. You can apply it easily with your finger and the formula is light enough to use on the apples of your cheeks too. The mini brush and applicator make it the perfect palette to carry with you and you can layer up the colours to increase the intensity for a day to night transformation! The gold makes a lovely soft highlight on the cheek bones too.
