The Ghost Fragrances are such a well loved range of fragrances in the UK but I’ve never actually tried any of them until now. I have gifted a few of their fragrances such as the Ghost Deep Night and Ghost Eclipse fragrances, as they are favourites of friends and family members. However, for some reason or another, I’ve never had the chance to try them.
Their latest fragrance, Ghost Sweetheart Forever (£28.90, 50ml here), seemed perfect for me and for this time of the year. The fragrance comes in such a beautiful, feminine but simple bottle that looks perfect on my vanity table. The fragrance comes in three sizes: 30ml, 50ml, 75ml EDT.

The notes of Ghost Sweetheart Forever are:
Top notes: sweet lemon, spearmint and pineapple
Middle notes: rose, muguet, jasmine and heliotrope
Base notes: caramel, tonka bean, amber and vanilla
All of the notes are perfect for the summer months and when combined have a sweet, fresh and clean scent with musky, creamy notes towards the end. It’s a fragrance that is perfect for hot summery days as it’s such a refreshing, sweet and uplifting scent. It can be worn by so many ages – although I personally don’t think fragrances should have age considerations.

Ghost Sweetheart Forever initially is sweet but not overly so. It’s fresh and clean in part due to the citrusy notes as well as the uplifting and familiar florals and ends with creamy, rich musky notes. Thankfully they aren’t so strong as to reduce the freshness of the overall fragrance. The fragrance isn’t too strong, overpowering or cloying at all as some floral fragrances can be, so it would be a great easy, no fuss fragrance for summer.
Even though the fragrance is an eau de toilette, which tend to be less powerful and have less staying power than an eau de parfum, the longevity on myself is fantastic at around five or so hours. I think this is great for an eau de toilette in a reasonable price range. For me, the fragrance is a quick, go-to summer fragrance option that isn’t headache-inducingly sweet or strong. I can see this eau de toilette being my default fragrance for the rest of the summer. It’s one of those fragrances that you love even more the more you spray it. I also love how refreshing and light it is, which is a welcome relief on the muggy, cloying summer days we’ve been having recently in the UK!
