I absolutely love FaceGym treatments and I discovered their brilliant skincare this year too. So I was super excited to get a sneak preview of their extremely clever two in one skincare and micro-needling tool. Here’s what you need to know about the new FaceGym Active Rollers.

How do the active microneedles work?
As you roll the skin, the microneedles create micro channels about 0.25mm deep. Once activated, those microneedles begin to dissolve into the skin via the micro channels which allows direct delivery of the active ingredients into the epidermis.
The combination of manual rolling and the application of skincare ingredients via the crystallised actives within the needles means you can really target specific skin concerns including hyperpigmentation, dehydration, dullness, redness and uneven texture.
Using the rollers means you can achieve enhanced skincare penetration and encourage skin repair and the production of collagen and elastin. In addition, the roller action promotes sculpting, draining, lifting, plumping and brightening.

FaceGym Brightening Active Roller
CHOOSE THIS ONE IF: you want to tackle darks spots and hyperpigmentation, and pump and illuminate the skin.
This has been designed to get your skin instantly glowing. It uses a combination of Vitamin C, Tranexamic Acid and Licorice Root.
- Vitamin C – to brighten, protect against external aggressors and even out the skin tone
- Tranexamic Acid – works to improve the appearance of hyperpigmentation and dark spots
- Licorice Root – acts as an anti-inflammatory whilst brightening and improving the appearance of dark spots.
FaceGym Hydrating Active Roller
CHOOSE THIS ONE IF: you are in need of extra hydration, need to boost moisture and plump up the skin.
This roller is all about delivering ultimate hydration and uses Hyaluronic Acid, Tri-Active Peptides and Centella Asiatica.

My Review of FaceGym Active Roller
I am absolutely loving this new launch from FaceGym. It’s super innovative and if you’re really looking for a targeted treatment to address your skin concerns, I think you will love them.
I have been testing the Brightening Active Roller and it is so good. It instantly plumps up my skin and gives it an amazing glow. It’s really comfortable to use and I absolutely love that the system means all that Vitamin C, Tranexamic Acid and Licorice Root gets delivered right to where it can get to work in the epidermis.
On top of this, the act of using the roller alone works to boost the skin’s repair function and encourage collagen and elastin production. Couple this with the fact that each of the needles contain the crystallised active ingredients that dissolve into this skin, you are getting a really powerful yet gentle treatment. It doesn’t mess about!

The next morning the glow is unreal!!
Aside from the fact that it makes my skin so bright, glowy, smooth to the touch, and plumped up, it’s just such a fun treatment to do. I really enjoy it.
How to use the FaceGym Active Roller
Connect the head to the roller handle.
Use once a week in the evening and make sure that skin is clean and dry. The roller is really easy to assemble and it feels perfectly comfortable with medium pressure rolled over the skin.
You simply roll over the face and neck using upward and outward motions for 5-10 minutes. The skin will flush a little but that’s totally normal and I find it settles after 10 to 20 minutes.
Once you have completed part one of the treatment (the dry rolling) apply the FaceGym Hyaluronic Hydrobound and then start rolling immediately all over again for another 5 minutes to allow the roller’s crystallised skincare needles to dissolve into the skin. That’s the really fun part!
You can then apply your serum again, and all your normal night time skincare. Your skin will be absolutely glowing.
