Eyeko have launched a brand new mascara in collaboration with super cool french store, Colette. If you didn’t already know, Colette is a chic Parisian shop that sells everything from art to furniture to food, and makeup. It’s all ultra cool and trés French.
Eyeko is already very cool, with Alexa Chung as a creative consultant, you would expect them to be. Eyeko specialises in eye products- (award winning) mascaras, eyeliners and eyeshadow sticks. They have created Eyeko x Colette Bespoke Mascara with a French girl’s low key beauty regime in mind and have mirrored Colette’s design ethos.
What you should know about Eyeko:
- Created in London
- Made in Korea
- Cruelty free and vegan
- Their mascaras all come in innovative squeezable tubes to avoid waste
- None of Eyeko’s brushes are made of silicone/plastic
Eyeko x Colette Bespoke Mascara- My Impressions

Eyeko x Colette Bespoke Mascara Packaging
There is something about fancy packaging that gets my pupils a-dilating. Eyeko x Colette Bespoke Mascara comes in a beautiful presentation box, it is white and royal blue and sealed with an imitation wax seal sticker. There is a mirror in the lid so you can apply your Eyeko x Colette Bespoke Mascara on the go. It’s stunning. If someone bought me this as a present I would marry them. Eyeko mascaras always come with a plastic plectrum that you can use to shield your upper lid from smudging. The Eyeko x Colette Bespoke Mascara plectrum is silver coloured metal with an eyelash comb on one edge.
The mascara has the iconic Eyeko squidgy tube but with a blue metallic lid. It’s all gorgeous. The packaging looks and feels so special, unboxing has been a slightly magical experience.

The Wand
I’m no fan of silicone/plastic wands, I find them spiky. I much prefer a nice quality bristle brush that I can use to really work the product through. Eyeko x Colette Bespoke Mascara wand is curved to get round the arch of the eyelid to catch the small fine hairs. The brush is mini, making it easy to control. I find it easy to use without any smudging, no need for a protective plectrum.
The Mascara
The finish is pure black and the mascara contains fibres for a lengthening effect. The formula contains Arginine and Biotinoyl Tripeptide to promote lash growth. I found that Eyeko x Colette Bespoke Mascara lengthened and volumised my lashes beautifully. The lash comb is actually not just a pretty face and works really well to separate the odd clump.

If a mascara runs or flakes to any degree I get very cross. I can happily report that this one does not budge. There is zero under eye greyness at the end of the day. You will need a proper makeup remover to get it off as with all long lasting mascaras.
Eyeko x Colette Bespoke Mascara In Summary
With such gorgeous presentation, it’s hard to say no, this super cool colab has produced a fantastic mascara. Colette co-founder Sarah Andelman writes “Being a no makeup girl, I’m so thankful to Eyeko for creating the first mascara I can wear! Its impressively easy to apply and it doesn’t smudge or run even when I rub my eyes forgetting that I am wearing mascara”. I totally agree, Eyeko x Colette Bespoke Mascara is easy to wear, fun and beautifully packaged.
