There’s a lot of negativity about wipes, but for me it all boils down to how you use them, and which ones you use, so I do like to give them a try. I think we need to remember that they are there to take off makeup, not cleanse the skin, and on that basis, there is definitely a place for them. These wipes promise to be tough on makeup, but gentle on skin:

I always tend to double cleanse my skin. I usually use an oil, balm or cream/lotion to remove makeup paired with a wash cloth. Then I do a second cleanse to clean my skin. The thing I hate is that a lot of the makeup I wear ends of staining my lovely white flannels. So I sometimes like it if I get rid of the bulk of makeup before I get to that step.

Last night I tried out these new wipes and I thought they did a very good job. I was wearing the La Roche Posay waterproof mascara yesterday plus a full face of everything else, and I managed to remove everything with two wipes. When I did my first cleanse, nothing came off (apart from on my neck which I guess I missed), which is a pretty good sign.

As I said, I wouldn’t use these alone (unless I was on a flight and full on cleansing wasn’t really an option) but they certainly tackled makeup removal with ease. I like them. The only thing I’m not so happy with is that the closure on my pack is really loose so I’m worried the wipes will dry out now that I have removed the seal. I am going to store them with something heavy on top! Not sure, it could be just my sample, but something to be aware of.
