Estee Lauder Double Wear Cushion BB Compact Review (Before & After)

As far as I can tell the Estee Lauder Double Wear Cushion BB All Day Wear Liquid Compact Broad Spectrum SPF 50 (long name!) launched in time for Spring 17 in the US but it looks like the UK will be getting it very soon too. Read all about it here and check out my before and after photos.
So there’s been quite a lot of activity on the Double Wear front of late. Apart from the fact that you can finally buy a pump for the original formulation, we have had Double Wear to Go, the Double Wear Cushion Stick foundation and bronzer and also a brand new formulation in the shape of the very lovely Double Wear Water Fresh.
The latest update is a cushion foundation that comes with an impressive SPF 50. This makes me happy.

It is a lovely formulation with quite a lot of technology worked into it. It uses a Red Fruit Moisture complex to immediately hydrate and smooth the skin. Cold Water Kelp Extract absorbs sebum to control shine, and a Red Mineral Radiance Complex boost the skin’s luminosity.
The texture is lovely, very creamy yet light, and it blends into the skin very easily.

So this is always the best bit. How does it look on my skin?
I love the perfected, glowy finish and the coverage is great – very buildable without getting cakey. It cover flaws, pores and pigmentation yet keeps thing looking nice and natural.
I used to do half and half photos all the time, and I’m not sure when and why I stopped, but I think this shot of the foundation applied to just the left side in the photo is pretty useful. You can see how much fresher and lifted the skin looks on the side it has been applied to.
I am liking it a lot!
