I am a firm fan of the original Elie Saab fragrance that launched back in 2011, so I was really excited to discover this beautiful blue reincarnation for spring 2015. The bottle is simply stunning. Here are the details on Elie Saab Le Parfum Resort 2015.
So this bottle takes its inspiration from the designer’s couture collection which mirrors the changing reflections of sunlight on the surface of water.
And as for the fragrance itself, perfumer Francis Kurkdjian has modelled its composition on “the seas’s golden reflection and beaches bathed in sunshine”. Sounds heavenly doesn’t it? It is described at floral, solar and fruity. It uses one of my favourite fresh notes, fig, and combines it with orange blossom, white jasmine and frangipani flower on a smooth and warming base.
Elie Saab Le Parfum Resort 2015 – The Notes
Top Notes – silky fig accord, mandarin essential oil, orange blossom
Heart Notes – white jasmine, frangipani flower, orange leaf
Base Notes – amber accord, cedar
The orange blossom is so reminiscent of the original perfume, it is really beautiful. I wish I still had it to compare the 2 but it was used up a long time ago! I really love this new scent – it is bright and light and summery, but with a beautiful warmth that sits smoothly on the skin. It also lasts really well on me which is brilliant. I get so disappointed when a scent just disappears. So happy this doesn’t.
Oh and the bottle….I just adore it.
Elie Saab Le Parfum Resort 2015 Eau de Toilette spray is out now and costs £47 for 50ml. Find it at House of Fraser HERE. And I have just spotted it at Escentual for £39.95.
