I have been trying out the new Elemis Biotec Skin Energising Skincare after I was introduced to the new line at the House of Elemis with a lovely Biotec facial. It has been developed to address the issues caused by depleted cell energy and to turbo-charge the skin to achieve vitality and radiance. Here’s the low-down.

So this is a really simple skincare system which aims to increase cell energy by re-booting the skin’s performance for optimum skin function and vitality.
There are a number of reasons why our skin energy may be lagging a little – ageing, pollution, stress, poor diet or medication among other things. Whatever the reason, the results are similar – a lack of radiance, sensitivity or breakouts. This happens because the cell loses shape and can’t hold the nutrients it needs.

This new Elemis collection is a lovely simple one with just 3 products:
- Biotec Skin Energising Cleanser £39/200ml
- Biotec Skin Energising Day Cream £75/30ml
- Biotec Skin Energising Night Cream £85/30ml

I have been using the range for a few days and my initial impressions of the products are good. I particularly love the cleanser which is an interesting gel texture that you massage into skin (after removing makeup).

It lathers up beautifully into a creamy foam when you add water and it smells amazing. This step is charged with a trio of acids in an energising electrolyte solution and it deep cleans the skin and preps it for treatment by raising acidity.

The day and night creams, which look really similar so make sure you’re checking, are really lovely to use. I especially like the night cream which makes my skin feels smooth and firm and really hydrated. Both creams use a 2-phase approach which when dispensed and mix together activate the skin and turbo-charge it for smoothness and radiance.

Both products feel great on the skin and what I like about this range is that it can be as simple as these three products, or you can add in a serum and eye product if you have specific concerns. It’s a great little kit for men too.
Top Tip: My therapist suggested mixing in the serum with the day or night cream as you mix the 2 elements together to activate, to allow the Biotec phases direct access to the skin.
The Elemis Biotec Skin Energising Skincare System launches 1st April 2016.
