I was so excited to try the new highlighters from Dior not least because the packaging is amazing! Here’s the lowdown on the Dior Forever Couture Luminizer which promises to have 95% natural-origin pigments.

What is Dior Forever Couture Luminizer?

The packaging is absolutely stunning, and if you’re a sucker for luxury packaging, you could fall in love with this. The packaging is very similar to the new Dior Forever Bronzer, but with a shiny vinyl finish rather than matte leather effect.

  • Next-generation highlighting powder
  • Designed to deliver an iridescent finish to boost radiance
  • Concentrated pearlescent pigments give a multidimensional glow
  • Composed of 95% natural-origin pigments
  • The powder is formulated to blend seamlessly with the skin
  • Infused with wild pansy extract for natural hydration and comfort
  • Non-comedogenic
  • Dermatologically tested
  • Available in 6 iridescent shades

I have been wearing Nude Glow a lot as it is soft and subtle. I am looking forward to trying Pink Glow when I want something brighter.

My Review

Nude Glow

I have taken quite a shine to Nude Glow and have been wearing it quite a lot since I got it.

I love how it applies to my skin. It blends out effortlessly and doesn’t emphasise any skin texture at all. It gives a soft wet look with zero shimmer and it lasts really well throughout the day.

I adore the packaging. It looks so gorgeous and I love the squishiness of the compact, just like the new Forever Bronzers, but shiny. The lacquer effect will mean you can clean it more easily which is pretty important because when I carry the bronzer in my handbag, I have to be really careful that the leather doesn’t get dirty.

I am definitely a fan of the product, although having done a bit of research, I would suggest skipping shade 03 Pearlescent glow if you are averse to sparkle because that one has definite glitter in it.

I’m loving Nude Glow (see it in action on my IGTV soon) and I think I’m going to enjoy Pink Glow too.

My only reservation is the price. In the UK, it is £40 for 6g of product. The previous Diorskin Nude highlighters were £35. I haven’t actually tried those so can’t comment on performance but I would say in terms of ingredients that the main difference is the 95% natural-origin pigments in the new formula.

If you compare it to the Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Superstar Glow Highlighter* which is one of my favourites, it is nearly double the price (that one is £39 for 11g). But I much prefer the Dior packaging!

If you fancy a new highlighter that’s smooth on the skin, looks amazing in your handbag, and you can spare £40 for the luxury, then I say go for it! Definitely check out that Charlotte Tilbury above if it’s over budget.
