What is LED Light Therapy?

In case you haven’t come across any LED Light Therapy Devices before, here are the basics of what they do.

LED stands for light-emitting diode. These are tiny light bulbs that emit light wavelengths that travel deep into the layers of the skin to boost collagen production in the case of red and near-infrared, and kill bacteria in the case of blue light for acne.

My Review of the Dermalux Flex MD Light Therapy Device

I am a huge fan of LED Treatment. I love my CurrentBody LED Face Mask and have often enjoyed clinic LED treatments, but I am not good at planning my time for skincare appointments and find it impossible to get into a routine. So I was absolutely thrilled to have the opportunity to trial the professional quality Dermalux Flex.

Apart from the results, which I will get onto shortly, I am so impressed by how easy this is to assemble and use. It literally takes me less than a minute to set up and pack away, and it is really easy to travel with.

It is simple to use and you can easily select which light you would like to use and start the treatment with the controller.

The treatment itself is super relaxing. The head rest is comfy and gets your face at the perfect angle for the treatment and the goggles are super effective for blocking out the light on the eyes.

I am obviously a true believer in the results and benefits of LED Light Therapy, and this particular treatment gives you the glow that professional in-clinic light therapy delivers and of course is super effective for keeping lines and winkles in check.

For boosting collagen and increasing firmness, my favourite treatment from the Dermalux Flex is a combination of the Red and Near-Infrared lights for collagen-boosting cell repair. It is great for firming the skin and smoothing out texture and lines.

I also find this combination perfect for addressing any redness and quickly calming the skin. It is the ideal treatment if you want to give your skin a glow boost before a special occasion too.

It is pretty much a game-changer for me and means I don’t need to go to the trouble of booking appointments and I can pretty much use it as often as I like. I have mainly been doing 3 treatments per week, but I want to try and increase it to 5.

Also, I have just started using it on my lower back which I have been suffering pain with for a few years. It is early days for that, and I have read a couple of really positive reviews that say that the Red and Near Infrared light is great for paint relief. So I will try and persevere with that and report back.

What is Dermalux LED Light Therapy?

Are there any side effects?
