I love Deborah Lippmann and I love the brand even more since I met the woman herself last year at Harrods. She was just lovely and it’s such a nice feeling to know that the person behind a brand you have invested in is nice. It always feels like money well spent. Now I haven’t tried a CC for nails before. I have used a BB from Eve Snow which I really like, and I think the Butter London Nail 999 Base coat is pretty much what a nail BB seems to be, but CC is new for me! So what’t it all about? It’s all about that base!! Sorry…

What I love about this is the instant look it gives the nails. I wore this on its own today, kind of accidentally because I ran out of time and had to skip the actual paint job. And then I kept getting compliments on my nail polish!

It does say that you can use it as a primer before 2 coats of colour or you can use it alone for a ‘modern, matte look’. So in my rush, modern matte look it was and it totally worked out.  And this is why I wanted to write about it straight away!

I will obviously have to update on the longer term benefits but basically if you are looking for a chic nude, you get the colour with this plus all the treatment offering too!

It uses a special hydrating complex with Panthenol to help moisturise, strengthen and protect the look of nails while the treatment correctors help to conceal imperfections and create a flawless base for polish. Just like the entire Deborah Lippmann range, it uses a 5-free formula infused with Biotin and Green Tea to look after the nails.

I will update on any nail improvements in a couple of weeks and I shall be wearing this as a base and a colour in the mean time. Oh and if you like nude but not matte, then simply pop on a top coat!
