Creed Carmina Eau de Parfum is one of those fragrances that makes an impression from the very first spray and keeps you coming back for more. It’s a beautifully balanced blend of juicy black cherry, soft rose, gentle spice, and warm creamy woods. I find it super feminine without being overly sweet, and with a depth that makes it truly memorable.

My Review
I have to say, I genuinely didn’t know what to expect with this fragrance, as I haven’t really tried any of the women’s fragrances from Creed before, and I had this association that the vibe could be a bit stuffy or old fashioned. It’s safe to say that I was very pleasantly surprised with this.
The Opening – Juicy and Uplifting
The first spray delivers an immediate burst of black cherry. It is rich, tart, and full of life and rounded out by soft, warm saffron and slightly spicy pink pepper.
What’s especially impressive is how long the cherry stays around. Even after a few hours, that luscious fruit note is still noticeable, giving the scent a lovely continuity.
The Heart – Rose de Mai
As Creed Carmina develops, rose takes centre stage. It’s fresh and realistic, slightly jammy thanks to the cherry, and cushioned by a soft bouquet of other florals. The violet gives it a fresh and clean feel which I think is a true talent of the violet note!
The pink pepper and saffron soften quickly, allowing the rose and cherry to sit really beautifully together. It feels super romantic and feminine, without being over the top. There is just enough complexity to keep things really interesting.
The Base – Comforting and Soft
When the base arrives, cashmere wood adds a smooth and skin-like warmth. Frankincense give the fragrance an airy, resinous feel, Myrrh brings smooth, smoky sweetness, and the Amber delivers golden, glowy warmth. The Musk melts everything into your skin so it feels like you. It’s cosy, sensual, and really addictive.
The dry down is perfect for those moments when you want your fragrance to be close and enveloping rather than loud.
Longevity
The performance is one of Carmina’s strongest points. A few sprays in the morning lasts the entire day, and the scent stays recognisable right to the end. If you wanted to amp it up for the evening, you’d just need a tiny extra spritz to get it back into full swing.
Final Thoughts
Creed Carmina is a gorgeous combination of juicy cherry, sweet rose, and warm woods, with just the right amount of spice. It’s luxurious without being overwhelming, romantic without being sugary, and it works beautifully both day and night. I’m a fan.
