It’s not often I am immediately wowed by a new skincare product, in fact it’s never really happened before. Not straight away. At best I can be trying a new product out and might notice a difference and be impressed within the first week of using it. But as part of a whole range of products, I have been trying out Colleen Rothschild Beauty skincare products and one of the products – the Radiant Cleansing Balm has knocked me off my feet!
A bit of background first; Colleen Rothschild is a US luxury skincare range developed by the very glamorous lady herself. Colleen has over 20 years experience in the beauty industry and has created a skincare line that brings together her wealth of experience and knowledge of the skin’s complexities and an understanding of what our skin needs.
Colleen has put together a range that is simple to understand, presented in beautiful packaging and with quality, proven ingredients that offer skincare solutions that deliver.
Radiant Cleansing Balm
This cleansing balm gently but effectively dissolves eye and face make up, helps to clear congested pores and leaves your skin super soft and radiant.
The balm contains:
- Moringa Oil – to restore luminosity
- Lipexel – to combat dehydration
- Black Seed Oil – antioxidant protection
- Aromatic Complex – to calm and decongest
I double cleanse, and my normal routine is a micellar water to remove the bulk of my make up and then a balm to deep cleanse and remove the rest of the make up which the micellar water hasn’t, usually mascara.
So to really test this out I used the Radiant Cleansing Balm first. Take some of the balm in between your fingers to warm it up, this hardly takes any effort as the balm becomes soft quite quickly. You then massage the balm all over your face and eyes and then wipe it off with a warm muslin cloth (which you also get with the balm). This balm is such a pleasure to use and makes facial massage easy. Not for a minute did I think that the balm would have removed all of my make up, so I used a micellar water to wipe off the remaining make up. There was none, at all. The cotton pads remained completely clear. Not even a trace of mascara. That’s how amazingly efficient this balm is. My skin was left so soft. And the balm smells like a luxurious spa.
Clarifying Detox Mask
This Charcoal mask can be used 2-3 times a week. Apply a layer to your face and neck and leave on for 10 minutes. As this is a charcoal mask you don’t get the tightening sensation you would with a clay mask.
The Charcoal acts as a magnet, drawing out impurities from clogged pores. You can also use this as a spot treatment.
The mask contains:
- Charcoal – to detoxify
- Microsilver – to promote clear skin
- Glycolic Acid – to increase cellular turnover
- Vitamin C – as an antioxidant protection
I love that this mask can be used a few times a week, so can easily be built in to your normal skincare routine.
I love using a make up spray, usually midday to freshen up my make up. This Beauty Water is so much more than that. The water gives you immediate and long lasting hydration, reduces water loss and boosts hydration under your moisturiser.
This is a pick me up tonic for when your skin is feeling dehydrated, tight and uncomfortable. The water calms and cools skin and is perfect for warmer weather (or when on holiday).
You can either mist the water on to your face, morning and evening, after cleansing and before your moisturiser or to set your make up, or throughout the day to freshen your skin and give you a pick me up. A real multi-tasking product. The Beauty Water contains:
- Coconut Water – for long lasting hydration
- Hyaluronic Acid – for skin plumping
- Cucumber extract – to tone and soften
- Acquacell – to boost moisture
Face Oil No. 9
I use a face oil most nights, even though I have combination skin. A face oil doesn’t make your skin oilier. It deeply nourishes skin, leaving it radiant. This Face Oil is no exception. With nine transformative oils that provide an intense moisture boost, what I love about this oil is it’s light and the smell is divine. It’s so nice to drift off to sleep inhaling this comforting scent. The oil contains:
- Black Seed Oil – antioxidant protection
- Moringa Oil – restores luminosity
- Marula Oil – balances the complexion
- Omega 3, 6, 9 – intense moisturisation
Sheer Renewal Cream
And the last step in your skincare routine is moisturiser. The Sheer Renewal cream can be used as a day and night cream. The oil free cream provides weightless hydration and promotes new cell turnover to help minimise the appearance of lines and wrinkles. Sheer Renewal cream contains:
- Syn-Tacks – to reduce the appearance of wrinkles
- Detoxophane – an environmental defense
- Multifruit BSC – accelerates cell turnover
- Moist 24 – 24 hour hydration
This cream is a light, non sticky moisturiser that has a powder finish that leaves skin with a breathable barrier to protect against environmental damage.
All Colleen Rothschild products are cruelty free, with no animal testing on any products or ingredients used.
Every single one of these products has impressed me so much. They smell beautiful, the textures are luxurious and apply effortlessly and for me to be this blown away, so quickly, is no easy task.
