I have always got on really well with Clinique foundations, so I was really keen to try out the brand new Clinique Even Better Refresh Hydrating and Repairing Makeup. What’s it all about? Keep reading to find out.

This the latest complexion launch from Clinique and it means that an even wider range of skin types and needs are now catered for by the brand.

What is Clinique Even Better Refresh?

Even Better is a line from Clinique that I have been a fan of over the years. It claims to have foundation shades for 99.5% of skin tones and 100% of undertones, skin types and concerns. Even Better Refresh is the Hydrating and Repairing foundation and offers a full coverage finish with 24 hour wear. It’s an anti-ageing foundation that’s great on dry skin.

Who Is It For?

This is such a balanced formula that it is able to cater for a good range of skin types. It is suited to:

• Dry skin
• Dry Combination skin
• Oily Combination skin

I am kind of all of those skin types, so it’s a really great one for me! Also, I have a spot at the moment and it has salicylic acid in it, so that should help.

How Does Clinique Even Better Refresh Improve Skin?

This is quite an interesting formula because it contains hyaluronic acid to hydrate and plump the skin, but also salicylic acid to maintain clear skin and improve texture.

Before & After – What Does It Do?

I went for shade Ivory which I think suits my skin really well.

I love the finish of this foundation and think it looks great on my skin. It feels super hydrating and leaves my complexion looking and feeling plump and smooth. The formula covers redness, and minimises the appearance of fine lines and pores really well. It’s my kind of dewy, and I love the glowy, radiant finish it delivers.

I haven’t yet used it long enough to be able to report on the long term benefits, but I have a feeling that it may tempt me away from my beloved Nars Natural Radiant Longwear Foundation whilst I find out! I’ll update with any news here when I can. So far, so good!
