I love Clarins foundations. My favourites are Skin Illusion and Extra Comfort (apart from the jar!) so I was excited to try this newbie, Clarins True Radiance SPF15 Foundation. I was also a bit scared in case I didn’t like it! Here’s the low down, some swatches and before and after photos for you.
I have samples of the Clarins True Radiance SPF15 Foundation in 3 shades – 107 Beige, 109 Wheat and 113 Chestnut. I usually go between a 107 and 108 with Clarins, so I pretty much knew I was going to be OK with these.
Clarins True Radiance SPF15 Foundation Swatches – 107, 109, 113:
True Radiance is a lovely fluid foundation that glides on to the skin very easily and feels super comfortable and hydrating. This is a foundation with skincare benefits including 24 hour hydration courtesy of Tara Gum and organic marsh Samphire extract and protection from pollution and free radicals.
Clarins True Radiance SPF15 Foundation promises to even, illuminate and perfect by employing a ‘Double-Illuminating Action’. A plant extract from the Moringa Seed prevents the loss of radiance by acting as a shield against pollution particles, whilst the Clarins ‘Radiance Booster complex’ gets to work. This includes shaped pigments optimise the reflection of light.
It also promises superior hold as the pigments are coated in plant amino acids – not really sure how that works! White Tea and succory dock-cress extract also protect the skin from free radicals.
Clarins True Radiance SPF15 Foundation Before & After Photos
Well I need not have worried because I absolutely love this on my skin! It feels like wearing a really light yet really hydrating moisturiser, and not like makeup at all. I have had it on all afternoon and keep forgetting I applied it until I look in the mirror.
I am very impressed the finish of this. The press release says that Clarins True Radiance SPF15 Foundation is a full coverage formula but I would say that it is medium coverage that can be built up to full. I think this is actually much more appealing. It is definitely very radiance boosting and complexion enhancing – it does a brilliant job of evening pigmentation and softening fine lines. I love it! Yay!!!
Clarins True Radiance SPF15 Foundation launches September 2014 for the really very good price of £27. I think that is brilliant value for such a lovely foundation particularly as my other favourites from YSL and Armani are nearly £10 more expensive. Loving your work Clarins!
