I love testing new mascaras and this one is new from Ciate. Check out my before and after photos of the brand new Ciate London Triple Shot XXL Mascara. Here’s everything you need to know.
So I was keen to try this out because I’ve previously been quite a fan of Ciate’s Wanderwand* Mascara.
What is Ciate London Triple Shot?
- Extreme lengthening mascara
- Instantly volumises for intense definition
- Infused with Diamond Powder
- Flower shaped fibres promise to lengthen the lashes by up to 3mm more than traditional mascara formulations
- The unique fibre shape allows the mascara to position itself amongst the natural lash, with a multiplying effect finish
- Deep black pigment
- Vegan, Gluten-Free, Fragrance Free
I have to say, I am slightly confused by the flower-shaped fibre scenario but I try not to get too side-tracked by the marketing stuff when it comes to mascara!
Before & After Photos
Before I get into this, I have to say, I tested this mascara when I was trying out the new Charlotte Tilbury Mesmerising Maroon Luxury Palette* that I have since fallen in love with. Literally obsessed!!
Before:
One Coat (one eye):
Two Coats (one eye)
After with two coats:
On a side note, how amazing is the Charlotte Tilbury Mesmerising Maroon eye quad and liner*?
My Review of Ciate London Triple Shot
I love how super-black this formula is and that it really makes my lashes pop with a glossy finish. The brush is lovely and slim which makes application effortless. It works to lengthen each lash you just need to be careful not to overload the brush with product for the best results.
One coat gives a really nice effect and two coats deliver drama without effort. I like a lot of mascara with a spiky look, so two coats works well for me.
The only downside is that it is pretty hard to get off. The formula really clings to the lashes, which is great if you are looking for a really robust, long-wearing mascara, but it does take time to remove it. You will most definitely need an oil-based cleanser to get it off, and there’s every chance you may need to go in with it twice!
This is staying in my kit for long days, and late nights.
If too much effort in removal is a deal breaker for you, check out the Anastasia Lash Brag which comes off really easily.
