The previous formula of the Charlotte Tilbury Take it All Off Makeup Remover was one of the original line up products when the brand launched skincare.

For 2022, there’s a brand new version in a new hydrating formula. It has lost it’s blue colour and is now a completely colourless bi-phase product.

  • Easy bi-phase makeup remover
  • Designed to effortlessly remove waterproof and long-wear makeup
  • New formula is infused with Chamomile and Eyebright to hydrate, soothe and comfort
  • Organic cornflower water gently clarifies
  • Flax Flower Extract calms and soothes
  • Veronica Extract works to soften the skin
  • Conditioning formula for benefits on lashes and lips
  • Suitable for sensitive eyes and contact lens wearers

How to use it

Charlotte Tilbury Take it All Off is really easy to use. You simply give the bottle a good shake, soak a cotton pad and then hold it on the skin for 10 seconds before wiping it away.

The brand’s website says to apply on to a wet cotton pad, but I have been using it dry.

When I am wearing loads of makeup, I do like to use a separate eye makeup remover, because it just makes the process of cleansing my whole face a lot less messy. If I get rid of all the black stuff first, I can really enjoy my cleanse.

I always like using oil-based bi-phase products to really get the job of removing longwear makeup done.

I have never properly tested the original formula, so I can’t really make comparisons with the new one, unfortunately.

I do like this formulation because it contains no alcohol which gives it a bit of an advantage over another favourite of mine, the Lancome B-Facil. The Lancome is actually slightly more affordable than the CT, but if you want to avoid alcohol then the CT is the way to go.

I think they perform in a very similar way and both remove all the makeup pretty easily. I think that the new formula of the Charlotte Tilbury Take It All Off does feel gentler on the skin.

It also does feel hydrating on the skin, but I tend to then cleanse all over my face after I’ve used a product like this, so I’d imagine that any long term hydration benefits would really be washed away.

I definitely think that if you have sensitive eyes, the Charlotte Tilbury will may suit you better than the Lancome Bi-Facil.

I love the Lancome one, to be honest. I am not worried that it contains alcohol as I always do a full cleanse straight after. But as I said, if you want to avoid alcohol, it won’t be for you.

Where to buy it
