Well the huge news from Team Tilbury is that Charlotte has turned her attention to fragrance and, having smelt it and heard all about it last month, I can honestly say it is absolutely stunning. If you want to be a total seductress, you need to add this magic potion to your collection. Here’s the low down on Charlotte Tilbury Scent of a Dream Eau de Parfum. Exciting!

It’s funny because I remember being at a CT launch in Home House two years or so back and was stood really close to Charlotte and she smelt amazing. I commented on it and said it would be great if she launched a fragrance, and she gave me a little wink. Then I forgot all about it! Even going along to the embargoed launch event it didn’t occur to me that it would be fragrance! And when I found out, this little memory came flooding back to me.

And if you think that Charlotte is passionate about makeup, then you should hear her speak about the Charlotte Tilbury Scent of a Dream Eau de Parfum! The whole thing was completely mesmerising! Charlotte worked with top perfumer Francois Robert (who worked with Chanel for 30 years) and it sounds like they had some fun and games in creating the dream!

Charlotte has worn the same fragrance – her secret fragrance that she mixes herself – for 30 years and now she has taken it to the next level. There’s a story behind every element of this perfume – from the fragrance itself, to the design of the bottle and the amazing film which stars Kate Moss! It is incredible – you need to see it!

Charlotte said, “I literally feel that I did not create this scent. It was channelled through me. I was just the vessel…It has been so emotional for me.” Charlotte’s biggest thing about fragrance is that our sense of smell is the only unfiltered sense. Smells directly tap into memories and emotions without the brain getting involved.

This has been created to ignite emotional pathways between human beings, mind and body. This is a new category that Charlotte and her team are calling a ‘Fleurotic’ – floral, erotic notes. This is all about “Light, love, sex, positivity and power”. It has been created to adapt to each wearer so that everyone has their own unique scent.

Top notes (ignites the positivity)

Lemon, Peach, black pepper, saffron, madarin, bergamot

Heart notes (ignites love and light)

Tuberose, jasmine, frankincense, violet, patchouli, orange flower, rose oil, tea rose, green ivy, magnolia

Base notes (ignites sex and power)

Hedione, ambroxan, precious woods, citrus, amber

It is a beautiful scent. So sexy, so soft and powdery on the skin and seriously long lasting. I sprayed it on the back of my hand and could still smell it the next day, and so could others! I don’t think I have ever experienced that with a fragrance before.
