Charlotte Tilbury Chic to Cheek Blusher Review: First Love

Well!! I have no idea why it has taken me so long to tell you about this blusher from Charlotte Tilbury. I have had it months, and it is genuinely one of the best blushes I’ve tried. Not least because it is super flattering but also because it truly embraces my obsession with layering products. This is Charlotte Tilbury Chic to Cheek Blusher in First Love.

 

 

For a start, the packaging! Charlotte Tilbury is a woman that understands what other women want and she has completely nailed the packaging. I adore this super, slim art deco style compact. It’s perfection.

 

The blush itself has been put together to make creating the perfect glowing, contoured complexion a cinch and Charlotte prescribes the “swish and pop” application technique to add structure and luminosity to the cheek bones. It works for me!!

 

Let me tell you a bit more about Swish & Pop. You swirl your brush around the outer colour in the palette and apply this shade across the cheek bones. Next you take your brush to the centre colour and then add a pop to the apples of the cheeks and blend everything together. It couldn’t be easier – the blusher kind of does the work for you.

 

 

My absolute favourite brush to do this with is the Wayne Goss 02 brush – the tapered end makes it perfect for precisely picking up the different shades to contour the cheek, and then under light pressure it splays to blend and buff.

 

I think the above photo shows that you can contour quite effectively with the Charlotte Tilbury Chic to Cheek blush purely because the shade pairing is genius. Without actually having to think about contouring, my face appears lifted and sculpted on the side I have applied it. Perfect!

 

First Love is one of 6 shades in the Charlotte Tilbury Chic to Cheek Blusher range.
