Caudalie is a brand I’ve wanted to try for ages, especially after seeing lovely reviews about them. So when I was offered the entire new VineActiv range to try I was never going to say no!
Caudalie VineActiv is designed for fast paced women who don’t wish for their skin to show the effects of a fast paced lifestyle. As a 34 year old I was interested to learn that by 33 the skins elasticity drops by 10% and the vitamin C and E concentrations by 30-40%. This resulting skin “burn out” can result in a dull complexion and increased appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
I have a potentially high stress, very responsible job and need to look and act in a professional manner at all times. I’ve recently started working in a more beauty based environment so am aware I need to maintain my skin’s condition too. Luckily I have parents who both look younger than they are and I take very good care of my skin and wear SPF all year round. I even get asked for ID still- and lets be honest that little boost you get when that happening is something I’d like to keep hold of as long as possible.
Anti-Cell Burnout Complex is the power house inside VineActiv. This activates natural cellular anti oxidant defence production and increases protection against antioxidant stress.
Key ingredients include;
Vitamin E – Maintains radiance and suppleness
Vitamin C – Boosts collagen and balances melanin production
VineActiv Glow Activating Anti-Wrinkle Serum was the first step after cleansing. Designed to be used before moisturiser morning and evening I found this a lovely easily absorbed hydration boost to my skin. During trials clinical results showed a decrease in the degradation of the skin by 80% and skin pigmentation by 100%. I don’t have any skin pigmentation so cannot personally say if this was the case but after three weeks of use my skin does seem to appear less lined than it did before. Find it here
Caudalie VineActiv 3 in 1 Moisturiser
This was followed by 3 in 1 moisturiser. This came in a squeeze tube without a pump. This was the only product in the range I was disappointed in. I have oily skin so it isn’t particularly dry, I found that when I applied this as I normally would the product instantly sank in before I had chance to fully rub in.
My skin isn’t dry in the slightest and I don’t normally have this problem with other products. I had to use twice the amount I normally would. At night it wasn’t too much of a problem as I followed with the overnight detox oil, but during the day I had to use a hydrating primer before make up application or my foundation applied patchy. Clinical studies showed an 8 hour anti-pollution protection which may well be the case but I didn’t get 8 hours of hydration. Find it here
Caudalie VineActiv Energising and Smoothing Eye Cream
I’m making a real effort to use an eye cream recently as it’s one area I tend to neglect due to being slightly oily and unlined. Energising and Smoothing Eye Cream is a dream to apply. In contrast to the moisturiser I only need the tiniest amount, probably a grain of rice sized product is too much for both eyes. It’s great value as it’ll last me at least six months based on current usage. The clinical study showed 81% of women observed less dark circles. I would agree with this; after three weeks my under eyes seemed more plump and lighter in appearance. This is now my staple eye cream- I do have lots I just never used them regularly. Find it here
Caudalie VineActiv Overnight Detox Oil
The last product is an Overnight Detox Oil this is the most luxurious looking as it comes in a beautiful green glass bottle with a dropper to easily apply to skin. Designed to neutralise toxins that pollute the skin cells while you sleep. Six essential oils ensure you wake up with hydrated fresh skin. 100% of the clinical trial felt skin looked less tired and was smoother. Again I’d completely agree with this, to be honest I often didn’t apply the 3 in 1 in the morning as felt it almost stripped the hydration from my skin, your experience may be completely different however. I was really impressed with three out of the four products and use them on a daily basis now. If like me you live in a city and struggle with ageing, tired skin VineActiv may just be the thing for you.
