“Forget plump lips and contoured cheeks, it’s all about brows this season- BPerfect have sorted you with all you need for a statement style”
Brows are indeed still hot right now. I certainly don’t think anyone will be hurrying to recreate the bad old days of pencil thin eyebrows. They are just not flattering. The change in fashion has sparked a need for more brow enhancing products and BPerfect has created their BPerfect Semi Permanent Brow Powder kit in response women’s need to have a brow product they can rely on to last the day.
The originator of BPerfect Brendon McDowell appeared on the Irish Dragons’ Den earlier this year and impressed the Dragons with his first product, the made to last brow powder. He won an investment and has grown the BPerfect line to include Brush on Lashes Micro Fibre Mascara, Ten Second Tan, Skin Primer and Eyeliner/Lipliner.
I have the BPerfect Semi permanent Brow Powder Kit in Chocolate and the Eyeliner & Lipliner Pencil in Black. The eyeliner has yet to launch, so this won’t be available until later in the year. The brow powder comes in four shades-
- Brown- for a subtle style, ideal for fair hair or fine brows
- Irid Brown- for a more defined look, a medium brown with subtle red undertones, perfect for red, auburn or warm brown haired ladies and men
- Chocolate- for strong definition, a good match for warm blonde, dark brown or black hair
- Charcoal- for high definition, best suited to silver, ash blonde, dark/thick brown/black hair or anyone wanting a truly striking look.
The kit costs £24.99, so it’s on the pricey side.
BPerfect Semi Permanent Brow Powder Kit and BPerfect Eyeliner Review
I’m big into my eyebrows. When the trend for thick natural brows came back, I should have been jumping for joy being blessed with naturally thick dark brows. But I wasn’t, because I had plucked them all out over a period of a decade. They have finally grown back but they are not as even as I would like so I always use a brow product to fill in the sparse areas.
The BPerfect Semipermanent Brow Powder Kit comes with a double ended brush, a set of three eyebrow stencils and a pan of powder. The packaging is so so, it doesn’t feel very luxe, which I don’t mind as long as the product is up to scratch.
The powder is a medium brown with a subtle warm tone. Here are the swatches-
It swatched pretty lightly and was quite dusty, so I didn’t hold up much hope that it would be any good for filling in bald patches convincingly. Luckily my fears were unfounded and the BPerfect brow powder did a marvelous job. You can definitely build up the colour- starting with a sheer, more natural look building to a bold defined brow. The instructions indicate that you hold the stencil against the brow and fill in using the brush in a back and forth motion. I used the stencil but I found even the thickest stencil (called “Natural”) was too thin for my bushy brows. It did help to create a sharp line at the base of my brow, but I needed to put it down so I could fill in the rest. The result is a bold defined matte brow in a nice natural shade.
I don’t think much of the provided brush, one end is thick and fluffy and the other end is sharp and thin. The thin end was too big and soft for my liking and made it hard to create a sharp line. I switched to my Anastasia Beverly Hills no12 brush and the powder went on fine.
The BPerfect Semipermanent Brow Powder Kit comes with a promise of 24 hours wear. I have very oily skin and generally find brow products last about 6 hours, no matter what claims they give. I was very interested to find out if BPerfect did any better. It did well! the main body of my brow stayed filled in while the inner portion and tail had faded. I took a series of photos, the last one is after eight hours wear. You can see how oily my skin gets, makeup doesn’t stand a chance.
So I’m pretty impressed with BPerfect Semi Permanent Brow Powder, I bet on non-oily skin types the wear would be even better.
The BPerfect Eyeliner & Lipliner in black comes with a handy sharper in the lid. I love it when you get a sharpener with an eyeliner, so handy. I’m not sure why it is called Eyeliner & Lipliner, it’s proper black. I can’t imagine many people use it as a lipliner and sorry, I chickened out of a photo of me wearing it on my lips. As an eyeliner, BPerfect eyeliner is great. It’s soft enough to draw without dragging the skin, it stays on really well and it’s extremely black. I always use eyeliner pencil on my waterline and to define the base of my lashes. I can see BPerfect eyeliner being a fixture of my makeup routine.

I’m really pleased with the way the BPerfect Semipermanent Brow Powder looks on. I do my brows to look bold because that is the way I prefer it. However you could very much apply the powder lightly and blend to make a more natural look. It’s great they do shades for lighter hair too. For me, the Perfect Brow Powder wasn’t actually semi-permanent but it did last really well.
I love the BPerfect Eyeliner Pencil and I’m sure that will do well when it launches. For more information and to shop BPerfect, head to BPerfectCosmetics.com
