I find liquid liner pretty tricky and one of the only ones I have really ever had success with is the Tom Ford Eye Defining Pen but it’s a like a million pounds! OK slight (extreme) exaggeration there but it’s very pricey and I think you’d have to spend a while trying to work out if you could justify it. I have recently discovered the Bourjois Liner Pinceau Liquid Liner Ultra Black.
It isn’t quite as impressive as the £42 TF beauty, but for £6.99, it isn’t a million miles away either. I only ever use the brush end from the Tom Ford one, and I think that they have nailed the brush with this high street one.
It is firm but flexible which means that you can get snuggly into the lash line to prevent any of those annoying gaps of skin showing through and also create really graphic, bold and defined lines when it comes to getting flicky!

As you can see, it is super black and pigmented. It sets really quickly and then lasts a really long time, even on my oily eye lids! You can create a nice fine line, filling in the lash line, or get a bit more graphic and build it up for extra drama.
Bourjois Liner Pinceau Liquid Liner Ultra Black is £6.99 and available now at Boots and Superdrug. Both stores have offers on right now. Check out my review on the Ultra Black pencil too – that’s a winner too.
