Bioderma has forever been a cult makeup removal product and for a period of time it was near enough impossible to get hold of in the UK. French skincare has grown in popularity over the past few years with many stores now stocking the crème de la crème of products, including the Bioderma Sensibio Micellar Water and now the Bioderma Sensibio H20 Wipes too.

When it comes to my skincare routine, I’m openly not a wipe girl – I prefer a hot flannel and removing my face with a super fabulous cleanser. I wasn’t always that good – way back when, I was partial to a baby wipe or two but thankfully, I’ve wised up and embraced all things skincare. That being said, when I’m lazy I’ll reach for a micellar water and I’ve been known to stock up on Bioderma. So, when they launched their Sensibo H20 Makeup Removing Wipes, I’ll be honest – I was intrigued.

The pack comes with 25 decent sized wipes, soaked in their famous Micellar water to remove makeup from both the face and eyes. As with the original water, it gently removes makeup and impurities and works to soothe the skin to avoid irritation. The quality of the wipes is great, not too thick/thin nor too flimsy or too dry. The formulation is spot on in my opinion. I find these work best on face makeup as they removed all my many layers of slap without much effort. For the eyes, it was slightly trickier but my eyeliner is pretty stealth so I wasn’t surprised it took some extra effort to remove but it didn’t irritate my eyes at all which is a bonus.

My skin feels soft and remains hydrated after using these which I believe is a sign of a good makeup wipe. They aren’t harsh or stripping which I think is key to getting the  formulation right. I probably wouldn’t convert to wipes on a regular basis, but these are some of the best I’ve tried and would work well for short trips away (with minimal luggage) or festivals.

You can find Bioderma Sensibio Wipes here for £7.

What are the best wipes you’ve used?
