Bio-Essence 24k Bio-Gold – A Girl's New Best Friend?

They say that diamonds are a girl’s best friend, but I think now that gold may be mine! I’ve recently been trialling some Bio-Essence 24k Bio-Gold products and I’ve been really impressed with what I’ve seen. 24K Gold has long been used by royalty to try and maintain their youth and beauty. This goes back to ancient times; it boosts skin renewal and is an easily absorbed mineral.

24K Gold is also a powerful anti-oxidant to protect the skin and fight free radicals, great for anti- ageing. When infused with Bio- Energy fluid the minerals form 24K Bio- Gold, this is absorbed quickly to nourish the skin.

Bio-Essence 24K Bio-Gold Skin Radiance Night Cleanser

This is a luxurious night cleanser; it has a gorgeous creamy consistency and lathers well when added to water. I found that it provided a nice cleanse and my skin felt soft afterwards, not dry or tight. This product is great for your second cleanse as it doesn’t strip moisture from the skin and the anti- oxidants work to protect your skin while it renews and regenerates overnight.

Bio-Essence 24K Bio- Gold Gold Water

This is quite an unusual product, it’s not a moisturiser as such. It’s meant to be used twice daily after cleansing, it contains particles of gold in a viscous liquid. This product has six main claims:

• Refines pores
• Improves skin’s elasticity
• Defies wrinkles by plumping the skin
• Regulates oil and moisture balance
• Enhances skin renewal
• Restores natural radiance

This product comes in a glass bottle with a stopper protecting the product from spilling. At first I splashed quite a few drops out but really you only need 2-4 drops for your face and neck. Don’t worry about the gold; although it comes out it somehow absorbs in so you don’t end up with a metallic face. The product is best patted in, your skin will feel slightly “tacky” but dries down matte fast. I found my skin stayed quite matte for a good while. When I woke in the morning I could see a difference in the amount of oil on my face after about a week of using this water. Find it here

Bio-Essence 24K Bio- Gold Miracle Finisher

This is by far my favourite product from this range! Designed as the final stage in your skincare routine, it is designed to:

• Seal in skincare
• Shield skin from free radicals
• Protects skin from pollution
• Mattifies your skin

I work in medical centres that generally don’t even have fans and windows, let alone air conditioning! So, in this current heatwave we’ve been experiencing over the past few weeks my skin really suffers from perspiration and excess oil production. I have found since using this finisher my skin no longer looks a sweaty mess! This works brilliantly at mattifying my skin for several hours, it also works well as a primer when I did wear foundation. Generally, I didn’t top it up after applying early morning, it even stayed fairly matte after a class at the gym. Find it here

I have seen the benefits on my skin from using 24K Bio- Gold. As someone who has oil prone skin and the occasional eczema and rosacea flare ups I love products that contain anti-oxidants. I also live in a city and I’m conscious of pollution damage on my skin. Hopefully you’ll love gold as much as I now do!
