With the recent release of the newly adapted Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, there have been so many new themed products, especially in the beauty world. Today I bring you a very luxurious Beauty and the Beast release; the Belle by Worth fragrance.

The prestige global fragrance designer Worth have recently released the exclusive Belle fragrance, a limited edition women’s scent. This was inspired by the central character, Belle, from Walt Disney’s new live action adaptation of the classic tale, Beauty and the Beast. One of the main reasons Worth Paris have released this fragrance is to raise awareness of conscious beauty and literary empowerment in the 21st century.

The central inspiration of Belle takes the rose, which is seen as an iconic symbol of the film, and so this is a floral based perfume. However, it also has a slightly woody base, which lingers long after every spritz.
The bottle itself comes beautifully and very luxuriously gift wrapped. You receive a book-style box, which makes a stunning keepsake and inside, the book opens up to reveal the first page…
‘Beauty is generous and fears nothing. Beauty is the knowledge that there is always more to things…Read. Dream. Believe.’

The hollowed-out book is based upon Belle’s love of reading and is available in three colourways. Whether this is for yourself or a gift for someone you cherish, you certainly wouldn’t need to add anything extra to the packaging.

Underneath the first page of the book, you are welcomed by the fragrance itself, which nestles in-between gold paper and lies on a bed of red velveteen. The glass bottle is really very simple and elegant, and apart from the word Belle on the top of the wooden, champagne-coloured lid, it is rather understated.

Onto the fragrance itself, and you will discover top notes of Green Pear, Grapefruit, Italian Bergamot and Redcurrant, with a heart of Pink Pepper, Bulgarian Rose, Pivoine Blanche, Rose Centifolia, and Muguet, settled upon base notes of Ambrette Seeds and Sleek Woods.

When I first saw the fragrance in its gift box, I expected it to smell of roses, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing, but I personally don’t enjoy a very rose, floral scent. Yet Worth Paris have created such a wonderful fragrance that combines many very different scents perfectly, to create a delightful fragrance. This is one which can be worn both day or night, yet I think this would be a lovely scent to wear on a special evening out.

Belle is a very enticing fragrance, packaged in a very simple, classic bottle, and I love how the scent is in-keeping with the character, yet isn’t overly Disney-fied like so many products which get released when there are new Disney films out. This allows even the adults amongst Disney fans to be able to enjoy something from the movie. This is definitely the grown-up Disney fan’s perfect product.

Belle by Worth fragrance costs £72 and is available here .
