BECCA Shadow and Light Bronzer Review

I was a little bit scared of the BECCA Shadow and Light Bronzer/Contour Perfector palette because for a pasty-faced paley like me, it looks super dark. Super dark! It genuinely doesn’t look like it is something I would ever be able to put on my skin. It actually looks like my kind of contouring disaster!

It looks a tiny bit darker in real life. And as I said, for a pale person, it is pretty scary! But never one to judge a book by its cover, and encouraged by the fact that the darker shade uses black undertones to absorb light, I gave it a go. And wow was I pleased I did. It is pretty gorgeous! I got comments the very first time I wore it out.
BECCA Shadow and Light Bronzer Contour Perfector Swatches

The darker shade of the BECCA Shadow and Light Bronzer is for sculpting and the white-gold shade is for highlighting. Not as scary as I thought! A bit scary once swatched…but less scary for sure. Then I put it on my face. And everything was ok with the world!

I loved it! I should have known that BECCA knew what they were doing. I used my Perfect 10 Double Ended Cheek Brush – the small end for the Shadow Bronze in the hollows of my cheeks and the larger end for the Light Bronze on the high points of my face. It was actually really easy to use and I loved the effect. Here it is with the rest of my makeup applied:

I’m a big fan of this! Plus it feels really light, is easily buildable and has special technology that reflects light and absorbs oil at the same time to blur imperfections. Thumbs up!
BECCA Shadow and Light Bronzer Contour Perfector is available from Space NK for £34. I would suggest having a little play with it in store.
