This is the photo of me that made me realise I quite liked the bareMinerals Advanced Protection SPF20 Moisturiser.

I had slapped a bit on before travelling for my spa trip as I couldn’t see the point of putting proper makeup on but didn’t really pay that much attention.

Keep reading for half and half photos.

When I looked at this little self portrait, I was quite pleased with what I saw. It seemed to make my skin really glowy and smooth. I am laying down in this picture which, owing to the gravity (!), always helps to be fair. But upon closer inspection, I was definitely pleased with the finish.

The thing is, my skin is fairly good at the moment so I decided to test it out a bit more before deciding what I thought. Especially as it costs £27 which I think is fairly pricey for a tinted moisturiser.

So I did some half and half shots for you! Below is a photo taken with no flash and the bareMinerals tinted moisturiser showing on the right side.

This is exactly the same – the bareMinerals tinted moisturiser showing on the right side, but this time with the flash (and accidentally closer up!).

I haven’t applied powder in any of these photos, therefore you can see quite a bit of shine in the ones taken with flash. It doesn’t look shiny in real life but I think for night time I would probably go for a bit of powder to mattify slightly. Although in all fairness, I would probably go for a heavier coverage product for night time anyway.
In terms of its moisturising ability I definitely rate it. It leaves my skin feeling soft and smooth all day long. I also love the fact it has SPF20 and is packed with skin kind ingredients.  It is also an excellent base for foundation and particularly lovely under my bareMinerals Original SPF15 foundation if I want more coverage but the same moisturised feeling. I love the subtle warmth it adds to my skin.
It is pricey. £27 puts it in the high end section of tinted moisturisers – but a little goes a long way, and if you’re are looking for no makeup makeup, you really can’t go wrong with this for all the extra benefits it offers.
This is coming out any time I want the natural look with more warmth and definitely after a facial when I don’t want to put actual  makeup on my skin.
Are you a bareMinerals fan? Would you pay £27 for a tinted moisturiser? Check out my bareMinerals make under here.
