I do love a bit of bareMinerals, and whilst I am traditionally a liquid lover when it comes to foundation, whenever I do opt for bareMinerals I am always impressed with the natural looking, un-cakey and even dewy finish it gives my skin.
Today bareMinerals launch a new solid foundation to compliment its existing range of ORIGINAL and MATTE loose mineral foundations.

As this is solid there is always the concern that it will have the caking effect of a traditional face powder but I was spurred on to give it a go with the promise of its “unique time-release hydration system that is proven to increase skin hydration by 108%* after 12 hours of wear”.
I’ll give you the low down on ingredients a bit later but for now here are some photos of it on my skin:
This is the bareMinerals READY SPF20 Foundation (shade medium tan R310) applied to the side of the face that appears on the right of the photo.

And this is the whole face.

I absolutely love the finish. It is so skin perfecting, has really good medium coverage and feels lovely – it is indeed very hydrating and feels very soothing.
My sample was given to me when I was quite tanned after being fake baked, so it is probably a tad on the dark side now. But as you can see the colour has adapted rather well to my current skin tone.
This is my first try, so I haven’t been able to explore the long lasting claim yet, but it is based on an independent U.S clinical study of 30 women after 12 hours of wear.
