I go in phases when it comes to powder foundations. Whilst my heart tends to remain faithful to the dewy, glowiness of a good liquid or cream formula, my first true foundation obsession was with the bareMinerals original loose powder foundation from bareMinerals because I could wear it after a facial! Here’s a look at the latest launch from the brand, bareMinerals Bare Pro Foundation.

I like the compact packaging. There’s a little sponge in there for touch ups on the go, but the brush is much nicer to apply the powder foundation in light layers. It is called the Foundation Core Coverage Brush and is packed with synthetic bristles that give the skin an airbrush finish. It has a cap so you can throw it in your bag.

I have two shades to show you, Dawn 02 & Aspen 04:

Before & After

I used shade 02 Dawn.

It went on very smoothly. I started with a light layer all over then built it up in more light layers where I needed more coverage. It gives the skin a soft, velvet finish and feels pretty weightless. It worked brilliantly to diffuse the appearance of my enlarged pores, so it gets a thumbs up from me.

I used the Bare Pro filter on snapchat yesterday!

I think this is a great foundation for combination or oily skin. If you like powder foundations I think you will probably love it. It’s the ideal one to carry in your bag if you need a bit of help on the t-zone during the day.

bareMinerals Bare Pro Foundation is £27 and the brush is £24. Find it HERE in the UK and HERE in the US.
