I was absolutely delighted to be invited to the book launch at Liberty for Back Chat Beauty, the brand new and brilliant beauty book by Lisa Potter-Dixon and Sophie Beresiner. I couldn’t stop reading through it, whilst I was supposed to be working, so I thought I’d turn it onto work, and tell you about it!

So Back Chat Beauty is dubbed as the The Beauty Guide for Real Life but it’s more than that. Along with beauty tips, tricks and advice, it is just a really good read. It’s entertaining, pretty to look at, there’s even a couple of recipes thrown in! And guess what Christmas shoppers? It’s extremely giftable.

What I really like about it, is that it doesn’t really exclude anyone. This book can be appreciate by the low maintenance and high maintenance beauty people alike, and pretty much everything is covered off including dealing with how ugly crying makes you, getting rid of the death-face a hangover gives you and the most practicle tips for maintaing control over how you look during childbirth.

Backchat Beauty covers skin, hair and makeup tips, advice and product recommendations, all delivered with a lovely dose of humour. It’s a joy. And it’s so pretty. I love the design and it will look amazing anywhere in your home, if you’re into interiors and all that jazz!

Final Thoughts

I am so pleased for Lisa and Sophie. They are both gorgeous girls, and I find it so inspiring to see members of the beauty community take on and conquer big new projects. It really shows that the sky is the limit and you can do whatever you want to do, if you set your heart on it. And I think ‘heart’ is really relevant for this book, because the love between these two is plain to see and it has been poured into Back Chat Beauty.
