Axiology Lipstick in Fundamental

I am something of a lipstick junkie – I have a ridiculous amount and I am constantly on the lookout for more.  The one shade I seem to keep being drawn towards are reds – after all, every woman needs that one amazing red in her collection.  Could this shade be the one?

Axiology aren’t a brand that I am familiar with, so I was keen to see how good this was.  They are a brand who are dedicated to using all natural ingredients, as well as being committed to organisations that help to heal the planet and save wild animals.

Axiology’s lipsticks have a deeply nourishing formula that has been designed to leave your lips feeling soft and kissable.  This formula is extremely comfortable to wear and it promises long-lasting pigment, as well as a moisturising, silky-smooth finish.

Fundamental is a creamy ruby red that has the most gorgeous rose-gold finish.  It really adds something special to what would otherwise have been a standard red lipstick.  It does feel very soft and hydrating on the lips, although I have found that it doesn’t stay on for that long.  Within 2 hours it had faded down to an almost tint-like effect on the lips, so if you want the bold pout, be prepared to reapply often.

I love the rose-gold effect, and this becomes more prominent as the red pigments start to fade.  Even after the colour has started to disappear, the formula still feels really moisturising on the lips, which is great during this cold weather … especially on chapped lips like mine.  I would advise using a lip liner, as whilst it doesn’t necessarily bleed, the lipstick does move easily away from the lips.
