Aveda Daily Light Guard SPF 30 Review

Now that summer is in full effect in England it’s incredibly important to make sure that your skin is well protected. I like to use a good SPF on my face especially as I have slightly sensitive skin and I burn quite easily. I have always loved Aveda products so I couldn’t wait to try out the Aveda Daily Light Guard SPF 30.

This is an incredibly lightweight SPF designed to protect your skin against UVA/UVB rays. This product is suitable for all skin types and has been working well with my combination and slightly sensitive skin. I have had no issues with my skin since introducing this into my daily routine.

This product contains a mineral sunscreen with zinc oxide and titanium dioxide to provide the best protection from the sun’s harmful rays. It also has certified organic Kukiui Seed Oil to help strengthen the skin’s barrier function.

As this SPF is 30ml it makes it the perfect size to keep in your makeup bag and you can even take it on holiday with you! The packaging is perfect as it isn’t bulky and fits into the palm of your hand. The product itself applies with a slightly white cast but once you work it into the skin it becomes transparent. It has such a lightweight formula, almost like water, that you can’t feel it on the skin once applied. It doesn’t interfere with makeup either, although it does leave a slight sheen on the skin, with a smooth finish.

I have found that a little goes a long way with this product otherwise it can take quite a while to sink into the skin and can leave behind some residue. I have found that my skin hasn’t burnt since using this every day, happily.  I do like to top it up with a SPF mist throughout the day if I am in direct sunlight though.
