I love eye cream. My makeup never looks right unless I use one and I find that the right one can ensure the eye area stays smooth and hydrated which is key to minimising fine lines and wrinkles. If I ever top up my under eye concealer during the day, more often than not I tend to tap on a bit of eye cream first for the best results. For the last week I have been using the new Aveda Botanical Kinetics Energizing Eye Creme and it is really lovely.

I have had really puffy eyes since I came back from New York recently and I have found that this has really been helping with the problem.

So Aveda Botanical Kinetics Energizing Eye Creme is part of a new skincare line from Aveda that launched last month. It is all about harnessing the vital vital energy of plants, to help replenish and protect the skin, delivering intense hydration and moisture and increasing the skin’s natural cellular energy.
Aveda Botanical Kinetics Plant Energy Complex:

- supports natural energy production in skin cells
- harnesses the vital energy of plants to stimulate the skin’s natural hydrators, helping cells to absorb moisture instantly and stay hydrated for 24 hours
- Licorice root, known for its soothing properties in Ayurveda, helps to diminish the appearance
of dark circles - Plant-derived caffeine helps to reduce puffi ness and energizes the appearance of skin around the eyes
- Certified Organic Cupuaçu Butter, sustainably-sourced from Brazil, helps to seal in moisture for the delicate eye area
Aveda Botanical Kinetics Energizing Eye Creme Ingredients

The technology and ingredients struck a chord with me because the Ayurvedic licorice root tackles the production of melanin which is said to tbe the primary darkening force in under eye circles. Although I don’t worry too much about dark circles, I do worry about the melanin that causes pigmentation, so I felt this was the perfect eye product for me.
I love the texture of this cream. It is nourishing and dense yet light in feel, which makes it ideal for the skin around my eyes. It has worked really well on the puffiness and I find it really smoothing and beautifying. My concealer sits beautifully on top of it.
I love this and have been carrying it around in my handbag. Aveda Botanical Kinetics Energizing Eye Creme costs £28 for 15ml. You only need a tiny bit so it will last a good while. Find it at John Lewis and Liberty.
