I never imagined that a lemon perfume would be my kind of fragrance, but I have fallen head over heels with this one. Check out the very unique Atelier Cologne Lemon Island Cologne Absolute.
When it comes to citrus in fragrance, Atelier Cologne is the brand you need to turn to. They have this area of scent completely nailed. I never knew I could love an orangey perfume the way I love Clementine California. It is so juicy and ripe and gorgeous, I love it.
Atelier Cologne Lemon Island Cologne Absolute is a different kind of citrus – it’s lighter on the juice, and richer and muskier on the skin in a soft vanilla way.
What notes are in Atelier Cologne Lemon Island?
- Indian jasmine
- Madagascan vanilla
In the very first seconds of the spritz, I smell the most delicious lemon curd, but it very quickly matures into something less sugary and more smooth. It definitely has some seaside in there – it’s beachy, salty and subtly aquatic.
It basically smells like holiday but not in the traditional kind of coconut way like Bronze Goddess. It’s a lot fresher, like a beach walk rather than lazing in the sun, if you know what I mean??
Atelier Cologne Lemon Island is a beautiful bright and citrussy affair but it manages to be super smooth, creamy and sensual at the same time, which is what I find so different about it. It’s dazzling and warming in one go. The mix of fresh and creamy makes it a perfect unisex scent in my opinion.
I find it really long lasting on my skin and so it’s perfect for an all day long scent, and you can give it a little extra spritz to amp it up for evening.
Where to Buy It
