I didn’t know what to expect from the Armani Neo Nude Melting Colour Balm collection but it’s absolutely fantastic so I had to share. I have photos and swatches of three of the shades here and there’s an amazing one for contouring on light to medium skin tones. Here’s what you need to know.
There are all really beautiful soft tones that can be applied as a subtle skin-like wash, or built up for increased intensity.
How to apply it
Armani suggest using your fingertips in a circular motion to warm up the product, and then dab it on to the skin and blend out.
I also like to use a fluffy brush for a more diffused effect and this seems to work really well too.
One layer gives a pretty sheer effect, and a second layer delivers more pigment and intensity.
I love the Armani Neo Nude Melting Colour Balm shades I have here. Shade 20 comes in the Beige and Brown category, and is a really lovely neutral toned colour, perfect for contouring on my skin tone.
I like to use a small fluffy brush to lightly buff in shade 20 into my skin before applying bronzer. It’s give a beautiful natural looking shadow that perfectly sculpts out the cheekbones and eye contour.
Shade 30 is stunning. I love the red, matte copper-terracotta tone and it’s perfect for lids and cheeks. This would be the easiest shade to pack for a holiday if you’re looking for a multi-tasking product.
Shade 50 is a very cool-toned mauvey pink shade and I love it on my eyelids. It’s a little too ashy on my cheeks, especially if I have bronzer on. It can go a little muddy when it’s layered over other products on my skin.
50 is the only one that I don’t think works on both my eyes and cheeks though. The other two are perfection for both.
The shades are super long lasting, and once blended, set down really nicely. The finish is natural matte, but it still leaves a glow, like all Neo Nude products do.
I am thrilled with these new additions, and if you love to play with interesting, unique textures for natural looking results, you will love these.
They are so easy to use, super flattering and are really fun to work with. Also, there’s a really good range of muted shades so most skin tones should find something they really love.
