I have got to say, these new powders from Too Faced had me at the word selfie! They are such a clever brand and I love how they have hit on the selfie trend in such an innovative way. The Too Faced Selfie Powders trio comes with its very own instagram hashtag, which promises that you won’t need to use a filter for your next selfie – #TFNOFILTER!

And it is such a pretty and interesting palette. I was slightly confused by this to start with mainly because of the bright yellow and bright purple look of the powders, but a quick play convinced me about these within a few minutes.

The Too Faced Selfie Powders are basically light filtering, photo-enhancing powders that promise to make you look filter flawless. They are weightless finishing powders that “mimic the effects of your favorite photo filters by using light-fragmenting technology to brighten, bronze, and illuminate the skin.”

And you know what? This is more than just a clever play on the social media selfie hype, because these powders are pretty beautiful. In general, powder scares me but these really do as they promise. This is a selfie with no filter at all. Honest!

I used the yellow all over to set my makeup and softly warm my skin. Then I used the bronze shade to subtly contour and add depth and I finished with the lilac across my cheekbones for a natural looking highlight. Love this!! There’s nothing powdery or chalky about the finish which is always my fear. Just perfected, more flawless looking skin.

I can feel a new obsession brewing!! Stay tuned for more Too Faced launches very soon! Also you can see more in my upcoming beauty news video – subscribe to my channel so you don’t miss it!
