theBalm have a new palette out in their Meet Matte palette range and I wanted to check it out because I really love the previous edition which was called Meet Matte Trimony. This one is the theBalm Meet Matte Ador Eyeshadow Palette and I have swatches here to show you.
Now, I should start by saying that I don’t like this as much as Meet Matte Trimony. For a start, the shade range is less my kind of warm palette and also I am not sure that the formulation is as good. I feel it may be a little drier than the previous eyeshadows. Don’t get me wrong – there are some lovely shades in here but I wouldn’t choose it over Meet Matte Trimony, which you can see here.
theBalm describe this as both a dramatic and romantic palette and there are range of soft neutrals, which I like, with some more intense shades along the bottom to smoke up the looks you can create.

The darker shades are really not as good as the others, they don’t swatch or blend as well. I don’t think any of them swatch or blend as well as Meet Matte Trimony though – sorry to mention that palette again!
As you have probably guessed, this isn’t really a win for me, but if you want to check it out, you can find theBalm Meet Matte Ador Eyeshadow Palette here. It is £39. Also, isn’t it a bit weird that they put a lot of emphasis on this being a vegan palette and then give it a bull fighting theme?!
