Who doesn’t love the thought of a spa treatment at home? I’m a massive fan of spas and spa treatments, so when I first heard of Temple Spa Glorious Mud I knew I would love it. Basically, this is an exfoliating mud treatment for the whole body (I avoided the face just because I like to use a specific facial exfoliator) that leaves your skin feeling soft, purified and detoxed!TEMPLESPA Glorious Mud review

The first thing I noticed is the sleek, spa like packaging. The blue box has a lovely hidden message that is very uplifting and relaxing, it instantly makes you stop and think about having some ‘me’ time. The jar the mud comes in is very nice too, after I finish using all the product I’m looking forward to reusing the jar to house some other beauty item.

Next, I noticed the smell. It’s so strong that I could smell it before I even opened the package. It instantly reminds me of a spa, it has that typical spa smell. Again, it’s calming and relaxing and transports you to a place of tranquillity. The product is thick like you would imagine a detoxing mud would be, which means it doesn’t drip or run down the body. It is messy but I just laid a towel down where I was applying it. As I applied the mud I gave my skin a ‘massage’ to really exfoliate my skin. It doesn’t feel like a typical exfoliator with hard beads in, it feels more like a really thick moisturiser – luxurious and relaxing.

The jar says to leave it until the mud is dry; you can see when it is dry as the colour changes (just like a clay face mask). Some areas dry quicker than others but overall it took about 15-20 minutes. The only thing I found was that I didn’t quite know what to do with myself whilst it dried. I couldn’t sit down because I was covered in mud so I decided to do my evening skin care routine which added to the relaxing feel.

I’d say you’d get at least 2 full body applications out of this which for £45 is pretty good. If you’re having this treatment at a spa you’re looking at around £40-£50 per treatment! I’m looking forward to my second application already. Find Temple Spa Glorious Mud here
