I love Japanese skincare and makeup brand SUQQU. Everything is so beautifully formulated and blended which makes it so easy to wear and use. The Creamy Glow lipsticks are sublime and I am so pleased to have a new one in my collection. Check out the photos and swatches of the SUQQU Murasaki Dahlia collection.

So here is a bit of background to the collection. True to its Japanese heritage, ‘Murasaki Dahlia’ refers to the colour of the kimono worn by Lady Murasaki, who is said to have written the world’s first novel, the Tale of Genji. The kimono was a deep purple colour, the shade of autumnal Dahlia flowers.

This is a very concise collection – an eyeshadow palette and a lipstick. The formulations of both are just gorgeous.

I love the SUQQU palettes. They are super sleek and the shadows are always so creamy and easy to blend.

EX-27 Hanashion features the deep purple Murasaki shade in a shimmery finish that reflects light beautifully. There’s a stunning soft pink and also a lovely pearlescent taupe. The lightest shade is a cream texture in light pink which can be used to highlight. The palette uses an innovative formulation with amino acids that allow easy application, staying power and also locks in moisture.

This is a super shiny sheer, pink-coral shade that gives you the juiciest looking lips. It feels so nourishing and uses microcrystalline wax, jojoba oil and rice squalene that allow the lipstick to blend smoothly, protect the lips from dryness and glide over fine lines around the lips.

I really love the formulation. It just makes lips look good.
