When I read the press release about the new Stop & Wow! Instant Skin Perfector from Dr Darren McKeown I knew straight away it was something I wanted to try. It promises to deliver instant skin improvements, blur imperfections and boost radiance. What’s not to love?! Think of this as a real quick fix rather than a long term treatment. Here’s a look.

I love the fact that Stop & Wow combines blurring with radiance. Very often you get one or the other, as skin perfectors tend to mattify while luminisers can actually exacerbate the look of open pores. This product manages to veil and illuminate at the same time which is why it’s so brilliant I think!

I am looking at this as a primer and I have to say, it is one of the most effect makeup primers I have tried in a while. I used it before foundation in my MAC Lip Liner post and my Burberry Face Contour post and I have had nothing but compliments via twitter on my skin. Proof is in the pudding.

Stop & Wow! Instant Skin Perfector Before & After Photos

Now I think that the differences without makeup are pretty hard to capture on camera although I can detect a more even complexion and boosted radiance when I look at my skin after this has been applied. It contains silicone but doesn’t have a silicone feel at all in my view. It is light and confortable and practically undetectable on the skin.

I think all the real improvements come once makeup is applied. It seems to make a great foundation amazing! I have used it under the new MAC Waterweight Foundation which I love, and it made me love it even more. See it without Stop & Wow here.

It gives the skin a plump and juicy finish and really does make it glow.

As I said, I think it’s with makeup that it makes all the difference. It just gives everything that extra something and makes it all look better.

Stop & Wow! Instant Skin Perfector is £30 f0r 30ml and available at QVC.

If you are looking for something with longer term skincare benefits then you might like Hylamide HA Blur.

    1. I’m not entirely sure. I have combination skin and it is fine for me. It contains silicone so I suppose it depends on how your skin gets on with that? xxx
