So the highlighting obsession continues and I have been playing with a new favourite that’s absolutely perfect to use on its own or as a first step in the quest for the ultimate strobe! Here’s a look at the So Susan Statement Skin Highlighting Crayon.
It has to be said, I do love a crayon. Ever since Clinique went all chubby, makeup in a stick has been the fast rack route to your desired look and it really couldn’t be easier. So Susan Statement Skin is not so much of a chubby and offers a lot more precision than the Clinique chubby highlighter, so it is perfect for detail work and adding fast yet precise glow.
So Susan Statement Skin Features
- Unique chiselled head enables you to cover large areas of the face, or target small pinpoint oneswithout using a brush
- Adds a beautiful radiance to the skin that looks natural
- Can be layered up to increase intensity
- Uses Organic Chia Seed to hydrate
- Silk Peptide to promotes skin suppleness and elasticity
- Free from Parabens, Mineral Oils and Phthalates
- Fragrance Free
So Susan Statement Skin Swatch – Candlelight
As you can see, it is a beautiful champagne shade with peach undertones that adds soft glow rather than glitter. The texture is super fine and so it gives the skin sheen rather than shine. It’s lovely!
It also makes the perfect base for a powder highlighter, if you want to layer up to create that strobing effect. Here I applied theBalm’s Mary-Lou Manizer over the top to really amp up that glow. Setting a cream product with a powder also means it lasts much longer.
I love this pen for getting right into the cupid’s bow, brow bone and the inner corners of the eyes, and then I turn it on to the flat side to cover the tops of the cheekbones. It’s lovely and easy.
