Prismologie were launched in 2015 so are pretty much new kids to the beauty block. They provide “modern luxe beauty with a burst of colour and a hint of gemstone”. In this post I am looking at the Prismologie Jade & Vetiver Hand Exfoliant.
They have tried to develop a multi sensorial range, for which each colour has its own transformational properties and fragrances to balance that property. These ranges include:
- Diamond & Neroli – for clarity
- Citrine & Bergamot – for confidence
- Ruby & Cedarwood – for vigour
- Rose Quartz & Rose – for comfort
- Jade & Vetiver – for serenity
- Sapphire & Oud – for stillness
I was fortunate enough to be able to try the Prismologie Jade & Vetiver hand exfoliant. My hands get extremely dry, so in the same way most people search for their holy grail mascara I search for hand products.
The back of the box, which has a clean modern styling, describes the green range as such. “ Green for serenity, for equilibrium. For a balanced mind anytime, anywhere. Take a deep breath and lean into green.”
The product is described as “ A creamy gel. Enriched with moisturising oils, fine exfoliants, Jade micro-crystals and the serene scent of Vetiver. To cleanse, restore and refine hard working hands.”
Key ingredients include;
- Jade- stone of serenity
- Tamanu Oil – soothes and protects
- Olive oil – aids skin cell renewal
- Avocado oil – moisturises and softens
- Pure Silica – gently exfoliates
The product is to be applied to the backs of damp hands and massaged in a circular motion before being rinsed off.
I’m going to start by saying you only need a small amount. I used an amount the size of a 5p coin and this was more than enough. There was a nice but not overpowering scent which was surprisingly unisex and certainly not chemically or artificial. As the grains were micro sized it didn’t feel unpleasantly rough but I could feel the micro-crystals working their magic. On rinsing my hands felt much smoother and I didn’t feel the need to apply any hand cream.
Prismologie Jade & Vetiver Hand Exfoliant Pros:
- Nice clean natural scent
- Doesn’t feel scratchy
- Only requires a small amount so will last quite a while if used weekly ( no recommended frequency of use provided)
- Paraben free
- Against animal testing
- Made in the UK
Prismologie Jade & Vetiver Hand Exfoliant Cons:
- May seem a little expensive at £30 for a hand product
I would be happy to purchase again and am looking forward to trying more products within the Prismologie ranges.
