I have been getting to know a few new skincare products from Philosophy recently and one that I am most excited about the is brand new Philosophy Miracle Worker Overnight.
This is what Philosophy are calling an age-resetting, anti-wrinkle overnight moisturiser and I have been using it for just under a week and really like it a lot. So! Philosophy Miracle Worker Overnight has been developed following recent research that has discovered some new information about chronological ageing.
Many of the anti-ageing products available on the market deal with environmental ageing – sun exposure, pollution, stress. However, there is new evidence that suggests that age-accelerating proteins called progerin, accumulate in the skin and directly contribute to chronological ageing. These proteins compromise cell structure and make them unable to regenerate as effectively.
Philosophy Miracle Worker Overnight promises to ‘outsmart’ these proteins while we sleep, optimising repair and visibly resetting skin age. Liking the sound of that!
Philosophy Miracle Worker Overnight Formulation:
- age-resetting complex with rare marine algae to target progerin
- powerful peptides & next generation vitamin c to support natural collagen
- hydrators to lock in moisture while you sleep
In clinical trials over 12 weeks, 96% saw an improvement in tactile smoothness, 92% saw an improvement in fine lines and 82% saw an improvement in crow’s feet.
Obviously I haven’t used it long enough to see any major results but it does have the most gorgeously luxurious texture, is super comfortable on the skin and I have been waking up with a very smooth and hydrated complexion. I couldn’t ask for much more at this stage.
Now it is pretty thick and heavy, and you may not like this if you have oily skin or if it is prone to breakouts. However this suits my skin perfectly. I actually forgot to take a day moisturiser with me to New York and have found that, lightly applied, it works really well on my skin for day too.
Philosophy Miracle Worker Overnight costs £45.50 and is available from 23rd July 2014. Find it at Philosophy Skincare.
