This is very exciting news for foundation lovers, particularly if you like a bit of glow! There a NEW YSL Touche Eclat Le Teint Foundation coming for 2016 and it is totally gorgeous. I love the original that launched back in 2012 (how time flies) but this is set to tick new boxes. Here’s the low down.

In a nutshell, we are talking deeper radiance, enhanced coverage, better adhesion to the skin and longer staying power. If you loved Teint Touche Eclat’s finish but found it moved a little on your skin, then this just may be the answer to all of your prayers.

Lloyd Simmonds says, “The transparent pigments in this formula create a ‘barely-there’ impression on the skin. Its glow gives the illusion of health and vitality, ticking the eye – and the wearer – into feeling and looking better.” Love it!

I haven’t had this on my face yet, but I have had a play, and been colour matched, and the formulation is just beautiful. Can’t wait to get it on. When I receive my shade there’ll be before and after photos a-plenty!

New YSL Touche Eclat Le Teint Foundation Features

  • New Catchlight Technology
  • Translucent hybrid semi-spheres have been added to golden pigments to capture light and diffuse a continuous, controlled, soft radiance without shine
  • New Touche Eclat Anti-Fatigue Complex
  • Banishes shadows and dispels dullness
  • Vitamin E provides anti-oxidant protection
  • Ruscus Extract combats signs of fatigue, soothes skin and boosts micro-circulation
  • 22 shades from beiges to golden to rosy beiges
  • 4 brand new shades

I feel like this new formulation is a dream come true. I think my skin is going to love it. Make sure you stay tuned for a detailed review. It is worth noting that the shades come up darker than the original formula. I was matched to B20 this time and it’s the perfect match.

New YSL Touche Eclat Le Teint Foundation is £32.50 and launches 10th February 2016. So excited! There’s also a brand new foundation brush, the Y-Brush which offers bespoke coverage. More news on that soon.

UPDATE: Now launched- it’s really hard to find in stock but seems to be available to order online HERE

  1. Hey Ree! The Touche Eclat Foundation was actually reformulated in Asia in 2014-2015. Is this the same one? Or a totally different reformulation?

      1. Hi Kate

An update – I asked the YSL counter people (a few different ones). They said they only just went for training and was not told about the new formula at all. Not sure what that means, really. :-/

          1. haha! Not to worry! Perhaps it has been communicated properly yet. Basically this new formulation will replace the original one in Feb xxx

      2. Hey Ree, do you know if the new one contains bismuth? The current one has an ingredients list that says “may contain bismuth”, whatever that means. “May”?

  2. Hi Ree,

Ive been constantly stalking your blog for this review of the new formulation, have you had the chance to test it out yet and see if it lives up to the claims?

  3. I wish there was an easy way to find out what shade I am. I don’t know when we will receive it over here. I’m a B40 for the older Touche Eclat, B30 for Youth Liberator and B20 for Fusion Ink. Anyone knows what shade I might be for the new one? I’m so confused by YSL’s inconsistencies! 🙁
