I don’t know about you but as I’m getting older nights in are much more appealing than nights out, especially with the cold and wet weather. And an essential part of a night in, well apart from naughty nibbles and drinks, is pampering.
I’d not heard of Merumaya before but I know ReallyRee contributor Stephanie is a fan of the brand. One of their Christmas gift sets is named Girl’s Night In and so was perfect for my little pamper night.
Containing Mud Marvels Mask, Everything Everywhere Beauty Oil and a travel sized Youth Preservation Moisturiser, each gift set comes beautifully packed. Styles can vary, but mine came in a silver/grey box with a deep purple tissue paper. Each gift set is hand packed which to me makes it that bit more special as the personal touch goes a long way. Also a little nice added extra at the moment is a secret code for 15% off for redemption after Christmas, so the pampering can continue.
Merumaya Mud Marvels Mask
I of course started by thoroughly removing my make up and applied the Mud Marvels Mask. The Merumaya site describes the mask perfectly:
“Mud Marvels Mask™ deeply cleanses, detoxifies skin, evens and brightens skin tone. It minimises pores, helps control oily skin, spots and blemishes. Powered by activated charcoal and ground volcanic ash, along with purifying kaolin and bentonite, to deeply cleanse and detoxify skin. AHA’s gently exfoliate resulting in a radiant, refreshed complexion. A complex of nourishing oils ensures effective, facial-quality results, without feeling stripped. Men will love this too.”
A little goes a long way which is good as it was quite hard to squeeze out of the tube, especially once you’ve started to apply so have gunky fingers. It was all worth it though. I really did feel that after removing the mask after 15 minutes my skin looked less shiny but without the dry tight feeling a mask can leave.
Merumaya Everything Everywhere Beauty Oil
Once I’d removed all the mask I applied the Everything Everywhere Beauty Oil. Containing Kahai oil this ‘use anywhere’ oil is a wonder product. Kahai oil is an unsung wonder oil which contains 50% more vitamin E and twice as much linoleic, an essential fatty acid, as Argan oil does. It also contains 3x more anti- ageing retinol than rosehip oil which is known for its use in healing the skin and scars. Other ingredients include: squalane, oat oil, grape seed oil and jojoba.
As I said this can be used on both face and body, scalp and hair, cuticles and also to condition lashes and brows. This supercharged oil is exceptionally economical as 1-2 drops is more than is needed on the face. In fact I had used a little too much so ran the excess left on my palms through the ends of my hair then massaged it into my cuticles.
Merumaya Youth Preservation Moisturiser
The Youth Preservation Moisturiser may be mini but it is mighty! It contains 3 molecular weights of Hyaluronic acid as well as three anti-oxidants and three sun filters meaning it is SPF20. If that wasn’t enough there’s also Matrixyl Synthe-6, Sytenol A and Absynnian oil included in the formulation.
The non – greasy formula is perfect under make up as it’s so easily absorbed into the skin and is also ideal for men for healing after shaving.
After my girl’s night in for one I felt so pampered and relaxed. All of the products contain that wonderful spa smell so you cannot help but feel special when you use them. This set would make a wonderful Christmas Gift.
