This new fragrance from Gucci has got me because the second I spray it I get the most uplifting shot of bergamot – and bergamot just does things to me. It makes me feel good about the world. Gucci Bamboo Eau de Parfum is a woody-floral fragrance that’s fresh and bright yet softly warming. Here are the details.

I’m liking this because it isn’t too sweet but has a very soft feminine vibe – powdery and creamy at the same time. I love the warm woody notes of the dry down and they deliver a lovely balance with the floral heart of the fragrance and the zesty top notes that really get me going.

Also, I have been staying at my mum and dad’s because my dad was really sick in hospital and I am helping out my mum. My dad has been really interested in what I am up to and he absolutely loves this fragrance. He says it’s subtle and not too overpowering but just beautiful. He’s so sweet! I am going to give it to my mum so he can smell it all the time!

I am a big fan of the bottle. The Gucci bamboo design is a true icon and it’s fantastic to see it translated in to a fragrance bottle. I adore the art deco diamond style cut of the glass which strikes a beautiful contrast with the smoothness of the highly polished silver cap.

  1. I have got a sample 2 days ago and I like it as well. I usually never try samples that I receive because I prefer a couple of more expensive scents and I stick to them, but Gucci made me curious with its name. It is a lovely summer scent. I like floral scents with a twist, I will buy it.

  2. I just received this scent as a gift from a friend who knows my perfume tastes very well. I love it and am saving it for my upcoming trip to France the end of Mar. I do like to have a new scent for every trip I take….that way whenver I smell that particular scent, it transports me back to happy days away. I love Bergamot, to start with, and orange blossom is right up there too. The bottle is stellar, the cap is beautiful and the box it comes in is highly styled. Overall, I would give it very high marks….and will write again when I’ve worn this for the 7 weeks in France. 🙂
