Oh wow!! I am really excited about this brand new addition to Givenchy’s Hydra Sparkling range. This is the Givenchy Hydra Sparkling One Minute Glow Powder. How amazing is the name?? Love it!! There’s also a brand new Hydra Sparkling Night Short Night Recovery Moisturising Mask/Cream which is amazing (love a multi-tasker), and also a new Smile ‘N Repair High Efficiency Firming Cream (I am all about firming). I shall tell you about those soon. See the end of this post for sneak peeks.

So! One Minute Glow Powder is a daily micro-peeling product that Givenchy is suggesting as our new cleansing routine. If I was going to liken it to anything, it would be the Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant. It looks very similar, although I think the Givenchy texture is finer. Have a look:

Givenchy promises “all the advantages of a smoothing micro-peel and optimal cleansing action in one ultra-gentle step”.

This is a super light powder and I shake a small amount on to wet hands (lovely Cemo, from the PR team’s tip) that I rub together and then apply over my face. Givenchy One Minute Glow Powder feels very slightly grainy yet creamy and I can feel my skin softening as I gently massage it in. Once rinsed, my skin is super soft, very smooth and really radiant with a healthy, flushed glow. It is so good!
It brightens, exfoliates and cleanses using a combination mechanical exfoliators (what you can feel) plus chemical exfoliators (Salicylic and Glycolic Acid) and this is my favourite way to exfoliate. The chemical exfoliation loosens dead skin cells while granular exfoliators sweep them away.
I love the fact that it is gently enough to use daily and it is brilliant to prepare my skin for serums and moisturisers that it needs so badly in the cold weather.
I am afraid there’s a bit of a wait as this little one minute wonder doesn’t launch until March 2014, but it is so lovely, I think the wait will be worth it. Givenchy Hydra Sparkling One Minute Glow Powder costs £29.50.
