This is the newest skincare kit from US skincare brand Drunk Elephant! Here’s a look at the brand new Drunk Elephant Bare With Us The Love Kit. Find out what it’s all about and what’s inside. As is alway the case with these limited editions, it is excellent value and a brilliant way to stock up on travel minis or discover new favourites. This one is all about a clean break for your skin. It could be the perfect time!
So Drunk Elephant say, “Your skin and your products should get along. This kit contains everything you need to take a clean break from ingredients we believe are at the root of an unhappy complexion—one you feel you have to cover up.”
They are saying that life is too short to hide behind makeup. And whilst, I agree to a point, I never want to live in a world without makeup! But where I do agree is that I enjoy makeup so much more when my skin is in good shape. I don’t want to use makeup to hide my flaws, I want to use it to enhance my assets, and as someone who is obsessed with glowy makeup, I know that my skincare is key.
What’s Inside Drunk Elephant Bare With Us
This kit is absolutely packed full of best-selling DE staples and also the brand new F-Balm Electrolyte mask which is one of my absolute faves when my skin needs a hit of hydration.
WHAT’S IN IT?
- Beste no. 9 jelly cleanser 30 ml / 1 fl oz
- C-firma day serum 15 ml / .5 fl oz
- Umbra sheer physical daily defense spf 30 15 ml / .5 fl oz
- T.L.C. framboos glycolic night serum 15 ml / .5 fl oz
- F-balm electrolyte waterfacial 15 ml / .5 fl oz
- Lala retro™ whipped cream 15 ml / .5 fl oz
- D-bronzi™ anti-pollution sunshine drops bonus sample packette (forget to include the sachet in my photos – sorry!)
The value of all these products is £115 but you only have to pay £82 if you buy them in this kit. That’s a brilliant value saving of almost 28% I think. But please do the maths yourself because it really isn’t my strong point!
Also inside the kit are lots of stories from people who have changed their skin with Drunk Elephant.
There are quite a few of my favourites in this kit. I use F-Balm several times a week, both as night as an overnight mask, and during the day under SPF to really plump up my skin and boost hydration. It is an absolute joy.
Also the day time Vitamin C serum, and the nighttime Glycolic Acid serum are up there in my firm favourites for bright, clear, smooth and even toned skin. They are absolutely excellent and are a brilliant double threat on texture, pigmentation, dullness and lack of tone.
How To Use the Kit
Drunk Elephant are suggesting you skip your morning cleanse (which I would struggle to do) and go straight in with a blend of C-Firma and Lala Retro. They say this will help preserve the skin’s Acid Mantle , which is a mildly acidic film on the surface of the skin which works as a barrier to bacteria and other environmental aggressors.
I think at the very least I like to use a gentle toner or micellar water just to remove any sweat or debris that has built up overnight, but maybe I need to give this a go. What are your thoughts?
After C-Firma and Lala, you follow with the Umbra Sheer for protection.
At night, cleanse with Beste No. 9 jelly cleanser and pat the skin dry. Then apply the TLC glycolic serum and finish with a layer of F-Balm. I can personally vouch for this combimation. You will wake up with smoother, plumper, more glowy skin.
