With summer (hopefully) making an appearance soon, it’s time to put away the heavy lipsticks and bring out the lighter summer lip products. And these new Avon Shine Burst Gloss Sticks are about to become your perfect summer makeup accessory. Each one is packed with super fruits and coconut oil for extra hydration as well as bright, glossy colour.
There are 10 shades to choose from ranging from pinks and purples to nudes and reds. I have two – Fresh Fuchsia and Vivid Cherry.
Vivid Cherry is just beautiful. It’s a mid-dark pink purple that is perfect for day or evening.
While Fresh Fuchsia is a gorgeous bright pink colour with a hint of shimmer.
Both of these Gloss Sticks are incredibly creamy and simply melt onto the lips. They have the colour of a lipstick, high shine of a lip gloss and hydration of a lip balm. They’re basically a hybrid of lipsticks, lip glosses and lip balms. And they’re amazing!
They’re incredibly pigmented and unlike regular lip glosses, they’re are packed full of colour. They also don’t leave your lips feeling sticky which for me is one of the downsides of wearing lip gloss.
Although just like a lip gloss, I didn’t find these super long lasting. Instead I found myself topping these up every few hours. But that’s not a big issue for me. I also loved that these gloss sticks don’t dry your lips out. Instead they leave your lips feeling well nourished, soft and smooth.
All the gloss sticks are packaged in these sleek metallic tubes which I really like. And they make a great change from the other packaging you see on the high street. The only downside is that a metallic finish is not the easiest of things to photograph #bloggerproblems!
